List of Worst Ship Accident in a Decade

Costa Concordia Cruise Ship
Costa Concordia cruise ship hit a reef in the sea off Tuscany, Italy, Friday evening, January 13, 2012. As a result, the hull was torn along the 50 meters. The incident left three people dead and 40 others still missing.

Costa Concordia carrying more than 4,000 passengers and crew. They consist of a thousand passengers from Italy, 500 Germans, 160 French, 126 Americans, and about a thousand crew members.

The incident adds to a long list of calamities that befell the ship in the last decade.

July 10, 2011
A passenger plane sank in the River Volga, Russia. As a result, 122 people were killed.
