What is a Fastener?

Fastener is a hardware device that mechanically joins or affixes two or more objects together.
Fasteners can also be used to seal containers such as bags, boxes, or envelopes, or they may involve keeping together the sides of the opening of flexible material, attaching a lid to a container, etc. There are also special-purpose closing devices, such as bread clip. Fasteners are used in behavior is often temporary, in the sense that they may be tied up and off repeatedly.

Another alternative method of joining materials include crimping, welding, soldering, brazing, recording, gluing, cementing, or use any other adhesive. The use of force can also be used, such as with magnets, vacuum (like suction cups), or even friction.
