What Happens in Costa Concordia Ship

Italian cruise ship, Costa Concordia, which hit a reef and sank off the coast of Italy last Friday night show was already a bad sign since the initial launch on September 2, 2005.

Champagne bottles being thrown into the body of a luxury ship, the traditions are wont to do when launching a new ship, not broken as it should. And, for the sailors it is a sign of bad luck.

Concerns began to prove on November 22, 2008, when the ship was damaged after hitting the dock as he entered the port of Palermo, Sicily in the storm.

The same ship later made headlines worldwide after crashing into rocks and ran aground on the west coast of Italy with killing at least three people while around 40 others still missing.

Interestingly, the tragedy occurred on Friday, January 13 that for some people regarded as an unlucky day.

"The ship was born with bad luck and end up with worse conditions," wrote the Italian newspaper IlGiornale, Sunday (15 / 1).
